You're right, of course, using the word "wrong" was a poor choice. As you suggest, what seemed to make sense 200 years ago, does not necessarily make sense today. The Constitution is a living document and as such can evolve over the years as circumstances change. While it is very difficult to amend the Constitution it can be done and has been done many times over the years. The Founders made sure of that by allowing for amendments in article five.
